A Taste of the Faire

 
In celebration of Bacchanal, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire is hosting “A Taste of the Faire,” a self hosted Wine Tasting through five of our pubs.  Tickets are $25 dollars and are to be purchased at the Crown and Anchor Pub near the main entrance of faire.  Upon purchase you will receive a punch card that entitles you to five tastes of wine at predetermined ale stands, each of which will be featuring a different wine!
   
   
 
Bacchanal Games
 

Beppo, the town buffoon, will be at the Maypole at 12:15 dressed as the Roman god of wine, Bacchus.  From there he will lead a short parade to the Celebration Garden and play all sorts of Bacchanal Games!

  * Grape Stomp

  * Grape Spit for Distance

  * How many grapes can you fit in your mouth at once?

   And, finally

  * A Comedy, Tragedy, and Dance Competition

Winners will receive Laurels to wear about their head and coins good for Drinks at our Ale Stands! Join us Saturday OR Sunday!

Games should begin 12:30 in the Celebration Garden if you missed the parade!
